solid19 0 Posted October 26, 2013 Hello! I purchased a lorex system from BJ's recently to place it in my baby's room. But I'm afraid he might stare at the IR leds and that is probably not good for his eyes. Is there a non IR camera that would work with my lorex system? Thank you! shockwave199 0 Posted October 26, 2013 There are lots of cameras without ir, but then you will see nothing in the dark.
solid19 0 Posted October 26, 2013 Hi! Can you please provide a few? I tried searching google but I do not know what to type to search. I was thinking about using my own lighting at night such as a lamp for lighting. Thanks!
Owain 0 Posted October 26, 2013 Use a separate LED illuminator and bounce the IR light off the ceiling, that way baby won't be looking directly at the LEDs. You can get 'true' (non-visible) IR LEDs and cameras that work with them for covert use, but they're more expensive.
shockwave199 0 Posted October 27, 2013 Does the cable that goes to the cameras have bnc on the end, or 5 pin din connectors? That will mattter some when choosing cameras. Something like this would be good because you can dial down or turn the IR completely off http://www.securitycameraking.com/700tvl-super-high-resolution-day-59201-prd1.html
