hi, I wanted to set up 5 cameras on my 8ch NVR, how will this look on screen? will there be 5 display boxes or 8 display boxes, 3 being black?

 

I was going to get the 8 Channel NVR | Completely Digital | 1080p HD Resolution Model: QC808.

You'll have the options of 1 on screen, 4 on screen (1~4), 4 on screen (5~, 8 on screen or 9 on screen (includes the network usage window)

 

Yes, for the 5th camera, you'll have 3 black boxes if you are looking at the 4-way split.
