luckyfella 0 Posted November 7, 2013 I had a building in manhattan that wanted cameras but didn't want to see too much of them. They have digital watchdog domes all over the rest of the building and are happy with the images. This area, they wanted something different, but the same camera. So, I proposed this idea to them and they gave me the green light. It was a pain in the arse to focus, but I think it came out pretty cool. I just wanted to share and give an idea to fellow installers. Here are pics of what I did.
shockwave199 0 Posted November 8, 2013 Interesting. Are they secured in there or just kinda sitting in the hole? Do the edges look finished on the outside?
luckyfella 0 Posted November 8, 2013 They're basically just sitting up there, but it's impossible to fall down. The ceiling is about 20-25 feet up high and from the 1st floor, there is a door to get up in there and you can walk around. We used a brand new hole saw and went nice and easy so there is a nice clean cut in the sheet rock. Even if it wasn't that neat, it's so high up there, it's hardly noticeable. The building manager had me do one and really liked it so I did all 5 that way.
