eyal8r 0 Posted November 20, 2013 Hey guys- I have a ReadyNas Pro I want to setup and use the Milestone software to control (3) 3mp IP Cameras. Is there a way to avoid using the ReadyNas software/license, and just use the volume to store the recorded videos on? Thanks for the help!
buellwinkle 0 Posted November 20, 2013 You have Milestone and you want to write the data to a NAS as in using CIFS (windows mount), why would there be a license on the NAS? We use Netgear ReadyNAS with cameras, no license fee.
eyal8r 0 Posted November 20, 2013 Exactly. I just wanted to check and make sure it was possible. I'll just mount the NAS and set Milestone to record directly to that. Thank you!!!
alanjh1965 0 Posted November 21, 2013 As long as you've got Milestone Express or above - if you have the Free Version (GO) then you can't use a NAS
thewireguys 3 Posted November 21, 2013 If your NAS device has iSCSI you can use that with any version of Milestone.
