ChrisS13 0 Posted November 26, 2013 I'm looking at setting up a fairly basic 1 or possibly 2 camera system - I have my eyes on Swann Pro-760 ( http://www.swann.com/s/products/view/?product=1366 ) or possibly Pro-535 cameras (please let me know if you think that is a bad choice for whatever reason!) - but i'm now considering DVR options. I have a PC relatively close that could be used - so i'm guessing I would just need a DVR card and software to use that - the alternative is a dedicated DVR recorder. My aim is to keep cost down as much as possible on this side of things - I think the only function I really want/need is motion detection - not particularly interested in viewing from mobile devices or the internet (although, if I chose the dedicated DVR, it would be nice if I could access that from my pc without having to connect a separate monitor to the DVR. So, does anyone have any suggestions? Again - main factor is cost. Hard drives aren't a problem - so a DVR without HDD would be fine (I have a few spare!)
