Hikvision DS-7732NI-ST NVR and application iVMS-4500

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience in setting up the DS-7732 NVR (or similar) with the iVMS-4500 mobile application?

I have tried to set this up and i find that it will only display one camera even though there are 5 cameras connected.

There is an option in the iVMS-4500 app under device information that allows you to set a camera number, but this is always set as 1 and unable to be edited (greyed out), not sure if this is the problem?

iVMS-4500 works with multiple cameras if i input each cameras IP address individually when using my home network on WiFi but when using the NVR IP address it only displays one camera.

Can anyone offer any advise that has worked on the iVMS-4500 app?

TIA

Hi, I have seen this happen alot.

Your model is the 32 ch and you are using external POE right? By default the UPNP of the camera is on, so your router automatically port forwarded one of the camera's 8000 server port (which are the same as the NVR by default), and when you connect to it using port 8000 and your external IP, it will also be to that one camera.

two ways to fix this.

1 . turn off UPNP in your router.

OR

2. set different port numbers for your NVR, then use the new server port number in your iVMS 4500 app and you should connect to the NVR which should display 5 cameras.

example: set the NVR's port to 90(http) ,9554 (rtsp),9000 (server) and put 9000 in ivms4500.

Hope it helps, let me know if you need more help.

in the app, the camera number is automatically set by the device. since your device it connected is the camera itself, it will always be 1.

Yes you're correct, 32ch, external PoE provided by lan switch.

Ill give that a go when i get home and see what i can find.

When i'm at home on WiFi and enter the IP address directly of each camera it works fine, but when connecting remotely over mobile via a DDNS service that's when the problem occurs.

I'll update this with what i find when i get home, cheers for the help!

Well that kind of worked....

I set the ports to what you suggested and it will now display the 5 different cameras when im connected via WiFi but as soon as i switch to the 3G/4G network and try to connect using the DDNS service (dynDNS) it displays 5 cameras but its all the same camera? any ideas what could cause that?

I had to modify my router config to enable port forwarding of port 9000.

Also another thing i have found, as i have changed the HTTP port to port 90 i can no longer open the NVR in IE or Firefox, if i change it back to 80, i can open it again.

I think im getting somewhere, it just needs a little more work to be perfect

For the IE/firefox problem

for http port 90, put :90 at the end of the address after you change the http port to 90.

Example my external IP is 123.45.6.78

I would put in http://123.45.6.78:90 to get to the NVR.

the standard format is that you put ':http port' at the end of your address, only 80 does not need to be specify since 80 is the default one.

Did you change the RTSP port on the NVR and port forward that too?

I think you are almost there, keep working~

Firefox/IE problem sorted!

But still have the issue of the 5 identical cameras being shown when connecting via 3/4G, ill keep playing around to see what i can find, but im not all that familiar with IPcams, this is the first lot i have setup, so its a bit new to me..

Hmm try deleting the cameras in the NVR and re-add them. Also put in the default gateways for the cameras if you haven't.

If nothing works, I would try to ask your vendor for the latest firmware for your NVR and cameras and hope it solves the problem.

Here are two other apps that will work with hikvision: NVMS 7000 and Guarding Expert. Give them a try if the problem is caused by the app.
