BassTeQ 0 Posted December 2, 2013 Hi all, The live view available from the cams webpage keeps asking to install the WebComponents.exe I've done this multiple times to no avail. The live view use to work but for some reason now no longer does? Tried from 2 PC's running win 7 64bit IE 11 Anyone else had this problem recently? Thanks
milkisbad 0 Posted December 2, 2013 Try this: download the webcomponent to a specific location instead of running it. close down/exit all your browsers. Run the webcomponent and install restart your browser. If not, try Chrome, I always had better luck with Chrome.
buellwinkle 0 Posted December 2, 2013 It's likely IE 11, maybe the same genius that designed Window 8 and the Surface RT. Just click on the gear icon on the upper right of the browse, select "compatibility view settings" and click Add. It will work fine after that.
BassTeQ 0 Posted December 2, 2013 *EDIT* Live View works fine in Firefox/Chrome, so just an issue with IE ---------------------------- Thanks, I've tried this as well, no luck I believe its an activeX control which is only supported via IE, but I will try chrome just as a test. Cheers

buellwinkle 0 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) So still doesn't work, even after you changed it to compatibility mode? That's odd. Maybe a newer firmware release will make it work, but all mine work fine in IE 11 in compatibility mode. Edited December 2, 2013 by Guest
51cent 8 Posted December 2, 2013 Some good advice here from Panasonic in dealing with IE 10. The same procedures should work for IE 11 and your HIK. If not, just go back to using IE 10. http://security.panasonic.com/pss/security/support/technical/ie10info.html
BassTeQ 0 Posted December 2, 2013 Just tried compatibility mode and it works Thanks for the tip! Can't just switch back to IE10, then be stuck with that forever.
