BassTeQ 0 Posted December 6, 2013 Hi all, If I watch the RTSP stream via VLC there is a short delay sometimes a couple of seconds between the real time movement and the image shown in VLC. If I use the iVMS software on a Galaxy Tab, the image shown is almost in real time with minimal delay. Does anyone know how this is achieved? Are them some parameters to the normal RTSP URL that iVMS uses to get a better/faster image update? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks
vin2install 0 Posted December 6, 2013 You might be pulling the substream on your Tablet and pulling the main stream on the RTSP which is higher resolution hence the slight delay compared to the substream.
pavel1883 0 Posted December 7, 2013 Go to Tools> Preferences > Choose Show All settings left bottom corner > Choose Input/Codec > and scroll through Input/Codecs adjustments into botom (File caching, Live capture caching ...). And play with them)
BassTeQ 0 Posted December 8, 2013 Thanks I will check out the settings. After playing around I've figured out it does pull the substream to the tablet, and can dynamically change the substream settings directly in the iVMS application.
