salvanost 0 Posted December 18, 2013 hello i just take out harddisk storage from avtech h264 8ch DVR to prevent the old date video replaced by recent video ussually i just check the video from dvr, but this time i need to check out carefully maybe need more than 1 week at home i have 1 dvr D1 4 channel and PC is there any solution so i could check the video inside the HDD storage? smooth play and great detail if possible using other different DVR or using some software from PC windows base? salvanost 0 Posted December 18, 2013 the computer won't detect the hdd, i won't touch the hdd or change something with the hdd from what can i find using google the easy way was using same model DVR i got 3 dvr at home, but none of the dvr same model with the dvr where i toke the hdd from is there any risk of data lost if i use the hdd to different dvr so i could playback it? or there any software where i could playback it using my pc without dvr? anishjain 0 Posted December 30, 2013 Majority of the DVR can be managed through PC remotely and their CMS software are capable of downloading the recordings. I have never installed any avtech DVR but in AMC work I have upgraded my customers DVR from avtech to Hikvision so I could let you know that The CMS software can be used for taking backups. Or else you can go to avtech website and you can tell their technical department about the problem you are facing, only they can give you the proper resolution.
