piersuk 0 Posted December 18, 2013 Has anyone any experience of FTPing images to server? I have a DVR which allows images to be FTP'd in certain circumstances. What I would like to know is whether it's possible to use my web server to upload the images to? It's hosting server for a number of web sites but I would thinking I could create a folder within one of the domains to FTP the images to??? Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

piersuk 0 Posted December 19, 2013 Yes, on my own web server. I can FTP to and from using CuteFTP but the DVR doesn't send anything to it.
ssnapier 0 Posted December 19, 2013 Look at both your FTP logs and your DVR logs to see what failed.

Sounds like you may need to switch to a binary mode on the FTP connection, or may also be an active vs passive FTP mode issue. May also be the DVR is trying to use SFTP or FTPS which would be on a different port then FTP. You either need to review your logs or run a packet capture to see what is happening on the wire, this will let you know what is going on.
