mkkoskin 0 Posted December 20, 2013 No, PoE stands for Power-over-Ethernet, meaning the PoE Switch also works as a power supply to the units connected to it via ethernet cable. So if you have an IP camera that supports PoE, you only need a PoE switch and one cat5e-6 cable to power it up and transfer the data. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
