Before scrapping the entire application and starting from scratch we decided we would like to test DVR capture cards with VB.Net (or an Activex) SDK. We've tested the Avermedia Dark Crystal X8 Capture Card and SDK which has a VB SDK component. For basic recording the card and sdk might be beneficial for some users. The card & sdk combo doesn't quite have all the functions we need. The card itself requires software encoding. I'd like to ask the forum members here to recommend any DVR Capture cards with VB.Net SDKs and any comments they have about them. That way there will also be a resource for future members to view.
