cant connect nvr to camera

Hi

 

I am trying to connect ip camera to nvr same manufacturer but when plugged in then click on locate camera it doesn't find it yet if i plug in another camera from a different manufacturer it finds it and displays the image

 

i also have ptz camera with a joystick but i cant control the camera any idea what this could be

should the nvr just find the camera or do you have to add it manually to it

Could you tell us the nvr manufacturer, camera manufacturer and model, it is easier to try to figure out how the setup goes with a bit more details.

 

Some manufacturers have a automatic config for their own cameras and nvr, but on many cases you have to either find out the ip that dhcp gave for the camera, or set the ip manually.

After you have the ip(s) for the cameras, you might have to set the ip(s) to your nvr manually.
