pahanorlando 0 Posted December 30, 2013 I read bunch of comments on this forum regarding nvr vs dvr But my question is, since I am looking at getting all my cameras to be IP, should I just get NVR instead of Hybrid? Also, I noticed that all Dahua NVR (or most of them) do not have any audio recording, anything I can do with that? Currently I got my eye on this one http://www.securitycameraking.com/8ch-tiny-network-video-recorder-59446-prd1.html I noticed that it's smaller and probably uses less power than most other recorders. It's also easier to hide from the thiefs. The only concern I have is no audio. I could always find some other audio recorder and then put audio and video together through video software, but I would prefer audio and video to go together right away. secureimo 0 Posted December 30, 2013 All Dahua NVR's can do audio recording, there is just the difference with analog, that the recording works thru camera - It means, Your ()camera must have audio-in function, so you can enable audio channel by Your video stream. Those Dahua NVR's that have direct audio-in/mic-in port, these are not for recording anyway, but for telephone function - so You can hear realtime sound that goes not to videostream and is not syncable or recordable with videostream. Securame 0 Posted December 30, 2013 If you are going to be using IP only, forget about hybrid systems, go for NVR. Dahua NVRs do audio recording, you just need cameras with mic, or with audio in so you can get audio from an external source.
pahanorlando 0 Posted December 30, 2013 Thanks. I've been looking for some time now for IP POE cameras with mic built in, but can't find any. Can you inform me of some? Also, does ip camera with mic built in need just one POE?
Securame 0 Posted December 30, 2013 Thanks. I've been looking for some time now for IP POE cameras with mic built in, but can't find any. Can you inform me of some? Also, does ip camera with mic built in need just one POE? Many Dahua cameras will have mic or audio in, but not the cheaper ones. I would say that you will have many more with audio in, than with integrated microphone. K100A, KW100A and K200A have POE and mic. http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-k100-k100a--k100w-225.html http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-kw100-100a-100w-457.html http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-k200-200a-200w-458.html If it has mic, you only need the network cable, if you install an external microphone, you will probably need power for the external mic. pahanorlando 0 Posted December 31, 2013 Thanks a lot! One more question, are there IP POE AUDIO MICS available? Pretty much instead of camera to have just mic going to NVR through POE, thanks
ssnapier 0 Posted December 31, 2013 There is really only one company I use for secondary audio recording and that is Louroe. They are not the cheapest by any means, but they make stuff that works and works forever. (It is pronounced LOO-ROE) http://www.louroe.com/
pahanorlando 0 Posted January 1, 2014 Thanks, looks nice, but it cant work with nvr, right?
