dee19781 0 Posted January 6, 2014 Hi, Im thinking of buying a cctv system in the uk that supports 4 camera, but option to have 1 or 2 more so would require a dvr that supports 8 camera. there seems to be just too many on the market so wondering which brand is good, i am looking at the Qvis Atlantis, is this a good model or can anyone recommend anything else? i am looking for a dvr that can support 8 camera full d1 recording together @ 25fps each not 25fps divided between the 8, does the qvis atlantis do this? also i can't decide between 1/3" Panasonic 700 TVL, 960H CCD+NVP2080, or 700TVL SONY Effio CCD. any advise would be much appricated. thanks dee
ssnapier 0 Posted January 7, 2014 As long as you are not buying in a bargain basement, pretty much everything in the analog market is going to be close to equal. The DVR is the only place where you want to be a bit picky. You want the software to make sense, and actually be written in English, some of these companies use a horrible broken English that is miserable to try and navigate. If you can find a place to get hands on a few of them, that would be the way to go. You might also contact some of your local dealers, or ever the manufacturers themselves to see if they have a live demo that might allow you to see what the menus and what not look like and how smooth they operate. That is a very subjective thing because we all operate a bit differently.
