pingj626 0 Posted January 27, 2014 I know these are old systems, but I got it for free. I was told the HDD was bad but it booted just fine. I was able to get into the menu to remove the installer and user password, change the network setting to match my home network. Of course this required a reboot. Except it didn't reboot completely. It kept going to initializing bootloader, screen would go blank then back to initializing boot loader. So I thought ok it was the hard drive after all. So I pulled a hard drive out of a computer and followed the hard drive replacement procedures found on this site. The NEW HDD booted as expected and went through the whole unzip process, built the primary image storage, then went into the same endless loop of initializing bootloader. Any ideas what is going wrong? Do I have another dud?
