arcos 0 Posted November 18, 2014 Mike, I have one more question similar to previous one. I made port 80 forwarding on my router. When I connect to NVR in non ActiveX mode I can manage all NVR settings but I can't view any video (flash payer is enabled on browser). Video doesn't work neither on preview nor on playback. Should I forward some other ports?

arcos 0 Posted November 18, 2014 Read last few pages or user manual .... page 19 According to port forwarding, I was trying to forward ports from 5050 to 5054 but it doesn't any effect. Still no video. According to motion detection when I click "Save" and leave "motion detection" section and back, all settings are set to default. I'm using motion detection on my camera but it has only 9 big fields of detection.
Szymon_Zy 0 Posted November 18, 2014 Port forwarding is 100% ok in this nvr. It must be your gateway problem. Did you forward all ports within this range? Motion detection is defined by camera. Camera have to push onvif event "isMotion: true". Settings at nvr are useless and optional if you device is not 100% Onvif compatible - including motion setting. Just set it up on camera and enable motion detection on each camera channel. Edit: Mike one FUTURE REQUEST While in playback mode could you put time stamp (NVR record time) somwhere in gui? And could it work like that: when i press BACKUP button automaticly begining and end of backup are set to current playback time? It shouldn't be too dificult. My cameras time stamp and nvr local time differs and it is annoying to shoot into prooper time.

My cameras time stamp and nvr local time differs and it is annoying to shoot into prooper time. If I understand your question correct: 1. Make sure the time setting of NVR is correct. 2. No matter what your time setting in camera, you can use NVR to synchronize the IP camera time to the NVR time. 3. Only Standard Onvif Camera (Not Modified Onvif) or cameras with private protocol with our NVR can operate this way. 4. In the recorded video it only shows the camera time. You can hide the NVR time. Attached picture may help. Regards, Mike
Szymon_Zy 0 Posted November 19, 2014 The problem is that no matter how i try i can't force NVR to put is own time stamp as overlay on camera stream. Time sync is not a solution since every minute my cameras switch to gmt-8, then ntp sync and gmt+1 back again. Does Nvr time stamp is shown in IE? I don't connect monitor to nvr directly. And how about cameras without its own time stamp? Dont you think that current playback position should be shown somwehere? BTW: This are screenshots from old firmware?! NVR time stamp can not be recorded on video footage. The recorded video can only show Time Stamp of Camera. 2. Is there a time Sync in your IP camera? or Camera firmware bug? Any possibility to turn it off and only use NVR to manage it? 3. No NVR Time Stamp in IE. 4. This is the latest firmware version, devices is connected to a VGA monitor. I took pictures with my phone. lol.
Szymon_Zy 0 Posted November 19, 2014 Yes there is a bug in my cameras firmware. I see that this RMB menu is available only with direct connection, not in IE. Maybe i'm dumb but can't find time sync in regular menus (not under RMB - it calls FF contex menu). It looks like NVR acts different if u use vga or remote management. In that case you should really consider adding current position counter somewhere during playback, and auto move current possition to begining and end of download piece. And one more thing: ACROS found a bug. I can remotely (WAN side) preview with ActiveX in IE, while at Firefox it does not work via port forward! At home firefox works OK. Are there additional ports required to forward so FF will work?

Port forwarding, need 4 ports. (as attached picture). If you changed the remote port 6000, then you need to port forward 6001, 6002.

guitfiddler 0 Posted November 20, 2014 Has anyone had any luck getting Sricam AP004 PTZ cameras to work with this NVR? I recently purchased 2 of these and have been emailing Sricam for over a month asking whether there is any updated firmware for these and have not had a single response from any of 3-4 support email addresses I've tried. RTSP doesn't even seem to work as these cameras feeds require link to be typed as http and the NVR overwrites this as only RSTP. The RTSP links work perfectly in VLC and similar. Kogashuko 0 Posted November 23, 2014 Got motion detection to work today on another camera. This makes me think the one I was using was jacked. Also, does the mini NVR have a RTSP stream that I can view from a ip viewer or something like VLC? I don't want to have to type a firewall exception and have 8 ports open, one for each camera, if the mininvr re streams it anyway. The MultiNetCard menu shows the RTSP port but I cant connect to it on VLC because I don't know what the stream name and stuff is. Thanks.

evertonhs 0 Posted November 24, 2014 Hello! I got a Mini 8ch NVR branded Cotier. I tried to upgrade the firmware to Xvision's using the tool, but once the first file completed the NVR lost connection to the network, i.e. the amber lights goes on for a few seconds and then off and the green light never blinks. I then tried the usb drive method, the NVR boots up and I get to the update page and I always get a "wrong file" message when I try to update the firmware. I tried all files listed in this forum and I have also downloaded the Cotier file from http://www.cotier.com.cn/en/ShowDownload.asp?id=8, but no luck. I cannot use the Telnet method as the NVR does not seem to get an IP address. The search function cannot find it and it is not at 192.168.1.188 as it was before the failed firmware update. Any ideas on how can I bring it back to life? Any suggestions are welcome. Cheers
GhostRider 0 Posted November 24, 2014 Plug your computer and NVR into router direct via cable and try to sewrch for the NVR, I ise the app called inet to scan my network from my mobile phone
evertonhs 0 Posted November 24, 2014 I have tried that. The problem seems to be that the network card on the NVR is not on. When an IP is assigned to it, the green light should blink, but it doesn't. In fact after a few seconds even the amber led goes off. I wonder if anyone have the USB files that would load the firmware for the 8 ch NVR. Cheers

penali 0 Posted November 25, 2014 Hello, I have the Escam 8 Chan Version of this NVR. Does anyone have the current firmware for this NVR? Thanks I just updated to the 2014103009 version linked here with no issues. https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/yzyBsns3xw01lfAwinSYrhToQsurvkqheXIItSEw8W4 ESCAM, just within the last couple of hours, sent me their latest firmware and I'm assuming it is identical other than company branding on boot. Here is the ESCAM branded firmware: http://www.filedropper.com/update3520daflsallnor402014103009mini8ch Make sure your NVR has firmware version v4.0 [20140417] before updating. I can install the firmware v4.0 [20140417] using a USB stick and booting up. When I try to install version 2014103009 it will not boot up again. I've tried updating through the browser and USB it says successful at the end, but will not boot up. I've tried both versions that you posted. Is it something to do with the install files on the USB stick when I install the first version?
guitfiddler 0 Posted November 25, 2014 I've only flashed the first firmware I posted directly from the NVR itself. I had no issues and my NVR is the ESCAM K108 branded one. I do have a powered USB hub plugged into the NVR which has my HDD, wireless mouse and the USB flash drive I flashed the firmware update from. The only other thing is I first formatted my USB flash drive and the only file I put on the drive was the firmware. Can you flash back to 20140417 and try directly from the NVR? Login/right click/settings/system/update browse for the 2014103009 on the flash drive.

VGA is working but the NVR is dedicated to be connected to a monitor without VGA... Is there a parameter to be set to allow pictures from HDMI?
