unix1992 0 Posted February 6, 2015 Is i12 support not included with the latest firmware? No, you have to manually upgrade the mini NVR with the i12 (or i13) update file (look for the last dropbox link). Don't know the possible effects of using it, but it works for the escam cameras. unix1992 0 Posted February 6, 2015 Yes this part is for security concern you can disable the webserver then no one can access NVR via IE. The new version also support Onvif HTTP video stream input now. We have an update log uploaded. fixed some bugs. main updates are IPC search function, Dana App Function etc. Mike can you tell us what brand cameras work with the i8,i8s, and i9 profiles that are default in the firmware. I want to add more cameras and would like to purchase ones that will work flawlessly with my mini. I added the i12 to my mini to make my Escam's work, but i12 is not satisfactory. Buy the cameras from Aliexpress at his store?? It states: All IP Cameras in UR CCTV Store are Perfectly Compatible with All UR CCTV Network Video Recorders on Motion Detection Function. skull47 0 Posted February 8, 2015 Hi everyone, my name is Frank and I'm really new to this forum, since this is my first post Premise: I've read all 41 pages (damn, you write a lot guys ) of this thread, I downloaded and tried everything, a couple of guys posted a similar problem to mine, but it hasn't been resolved yet (nor someone replied to those poor guys). I had a similar problem which I resolved with telnet and a USB stick (8GB pen drive, it worked perfectly). The problem: I bought 2 Super Mini NVR 4ch, one unbranded (which we'll call "black") and one branded ESCAM (which we'll call white). Both look to have the same precise software (V4.0, 2014-04-17), except the boot splash screen, but both had the same problem. The "black": When I first opened the "black", it seemed to worked fine, but the hard drive (I have 2 perfectly working 2.5HDD used with 3 different USB to SATA adapters all perfectly working) when plugged in started to make "weird" noises, like if there was something wrong with the controller or the power of the NVR who wasn't able to boot it. I've tried everything, change usb port, plug the HDD before the boot etc, nothing, and obviously the HDD wasn't detected. So after a research on this forum I've been able to put (directly ) the lastest firmware (24-1-2015) on a usb stick, opened telnet and made the update, now the "black" is perfectly working. The "white": The white branded ESCAM worked perfectly since when I booted it the first time, but after a couple of weeks (I turned it on many times in these weeks, but it didn't work at all, I just made some practice) it suddently stopped working! Without a reason, both USB ports looks dead, no sign of life, the mouse is stuck in the left-upper corner and I can't move it, but I can see its red led light, I can "boot" the hard drive (I can hear it running) but it isn't detected (using IE11 interface). I tried to log in using telnet, I inserted the USB stick and it wasn't detected (using lsusb), #fdisk -l showed nothing, #ls showed just some files in the NVR, #mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/ gave me an error (no such file or directory), #mount /proc/bus/usb /mnt/ worked but it gave me no files or directories in the flashing steps. So now I'm basically stuck, update through the IE interface does not work (always file error message, and I can only navigate into my Desktop root directory, even if I plug in a stick or an hard drive), I tried to upload the firmware using the XRN0808E tool, it can login but it suddently fails to upload the file. I've already contacted the customer support of ESCAM which gave me 2 files and instructions to put them in a USB, stick "update.3520d.a.fls.all.nor.4_0_2014103009.mini.4ch.update" and "dvr.update" (about 84KB), but mr. Joe seems to not understand the fact that I cannot use nor the monitor interface (stuck at the 4 cams squares since I can't do nothing) nor that I can't plug in a USB stick nor a USB HDD. Obviously I tried the boot USB stick too, but as I said the USB ports are both totally dead it seems... Conclusions: So finally, it looks like my only remaining option is to use telnet via ethernet (directly plugged into my pc, but if necessary I can use a router too) and send files to the NVR. Since I've not read about this kind of solution, I wish that someone (maybe Mr. Mike Mahon) could help me on finding a proper one to my hopeless problem. Cheers from Italy PS: I noticed that if the HDD is plugged in while the NVR is already on, it won't detect it. PPS: A tip, why don't we resume all the useful information in this topic and stick it into a single big post at the top of the thread?

Yo Frank, that is what we define "completely bricked" in factory. It happens when the updated file is not correctly written onto NVR flash, maybe USB plugged out too soon, maybe power is not stable at that time. but if it happened then NVR can only be returned to factory to refresh program with the machines in factory. I believe the time stamp in your NVR stopped moving?
Mike Mahon 0 Posted February 9, 2015 Somebody asked a while back, and I don't see the answer posted anywhere, so I'll ask again: Does anybody know the rtsp link to steam from the NVR? The port is listed in settings, but I haven't been able to find a link that works. Q1. Do you mean to stream the camera video to NVR? display the camera video on NVR with the camera's RTSP link? Q2. or do you mean to use NVR's RTSP link to view image online? A1. Ask your IP camera supplier for the RTSP link of your camera, select the camera channel in NVR, select RTSP protocol, add the information in NVR (camera must be H.264 one, MJPEG 4 is not supported by our NVR) A2. I thought I have posted an answer of it before? sorry don't remember it but our NVR does not support to view via RTSP steam yet.

Since it was included in the setup/configuration I assumed it was available. Thank you for clearing it up, and hopefully it can get included at some point. brazsik 0 Posted February 9, 2015 Hi everybody, I am also new in this forum. I have a 8ch minnvr, which I like it much!! However there are some problems which should be corrected. I use firmware V4, dated 30.10.2014. - HDD connection is very unstable. There is no logic when my external hdd gets detected, when not. Weirdly when I unplug the hdd, format it on my notebook, then reconnect to the nvr and power the nvr on, mostly get detected. - In preview mode over web, when I display only one camera window, there is no button to display again 4 or more cameras. - setup of motion detection masking over web seems problematic. I can setup a region, but I am not sure that it was saved correctly. - the goolink setup was not possible (invalid serial id). That is might my own solely problem. Firmware 25.01.2015 (I gave a try for that) - webserver login page collides with adblock (using latest chrome) and so many web elemets will not be displayed - generally missing html elements Remark: Update over web failed (at 10%) and I had to do an usb recovery. Maybe the whole webserver update option should be disabled or guided with a message to the usb upgrade solution. Again, nvr seems a nice one, surely for that price/service ratio. However, correcting the hdd stability should be prio1. I would like to use alternatively a fast usb stick also for that (I don't care about usb wear...) As an extra idea, the community might could edit (extend) the handbook explaining various options for the nvr, and it could be made of part of the next firmware. Empty IE Cache after you updated firmware. If you use IE, uninstall the old Activex and it will download a new one then. Safest way to update a firmware is via USB Flashdrive on your VGA/HDMI monitor. IE Interface update can be used for private protocol upload. And this version 20150124 can only be updated via USB Flash drive as some user complained they always need to connect a HDD via updating via IE interface. (Former Firmware Version Update) USB External HDD is not as stable as E-Sata one. Motion detection area is based on the area selecting in IP camera. This is all because of the private protocol things, R&D need a hell lot of job to do so they only worked on the whole area selection. If you select the whole area on NVR, in IP camera setting most of the camera shows a whole area too. If you only draw a small part, usually they don't match. Please select the area in Camera, the camera gets triggered and send information to NVR. PS: After this update your NVR ID for Goolink will be changed to a new ID. Please add the new one to your smartphone.

slag 0 Posted February 10, 2015 Somewhat irritated that these mini nvrs won't support general tcp connectivity with mjpeg. Dlink sells a lot of cameras, the DCS 93* series that can't be used by these nvrs. They don't use onvif and don't need to because they don't pan, tilt, or zoom, but just general tcp connectivity should be standard. Also, it would be nice if there were some "tools" included like my modem has. Can the devices even see (ping) each other? A simple ping tool would be helpful. I installed the one I could download with the mininvr cd package, assuming that is the newest one, but did not help. Nvr webserver interface keeps saying 'no activex'.
