myristate 0 Posted February 11, 2014 I am not sure if anyone is going to be able to help but worth a try. Anyway a client has 3 buildings each with its own SRN-1670D 16 channel NVR. The 3 units can see each other on the company network. In their office there is the Samsung SmartViewer installed with all 3 NVRs added to it. I was trying to upgrade the firmware on the NVRs through there web interface and could not find anywhere to do it but I then noticed in the SmartViewer admin there is a place to upgrade firmware. Anyway the units came with version 1.04 and Samsung just recently released 1.28 so I attempted to upgrade the firmware. It succeeded on one of the machines but the others keep failing to upgrade the firmware and I cant for the love of me understand why. They were bought at the same time configured the same and were running the same version. Any ideas? I had thought about trying to increment the firmware but trying the very next one instead i.e 1.06 but it seems older versions are only available to Samsung SDK developers on there site
logix 0 Posted February 17, 2014 I just did the update with a usb flash drive. I'm new to this NVR, really nice interface for windows. The sales rep told me that Apple computers could remote access it. Much to my dismay, I could not find anything for Apple on Samsung's website. My client is an all-Apple shop... Do you use a remote viewer on any Apple computers?
