need2shave 0 Posted February 27, 2014 We recently installed a Dahua 16 channel NVR with 13 Hikvision 3MP cameras. The NVR claims to be able to support up to 160Mbps and up to 5mp. While the system is recording at 3MP without issue, if we have more than 3 cameras running at 3MP the VGA and HDMI output display gets buggy. Random cameras will drop off and show just black in a window. Playback at the NVR is the same. Views on PSS and the web interface though are good to go but cell phone views result in the black screen. Has anyone else observed this issue? Anyone found a fix? We'd like to record at 3MP while also being able to display on numerous monitors.
luckyfella 0 Posted February 28, 2014 Not too sure about the other stuff, but I know sometimes, you have to wait a few seconds on the phone if you start off with the black box. Especially if set to D1 and you have a low cell signal.
SunnyKim 2 Posted February 28, 2014 The project manager may seem to have picked up a cheap or poor performing CoDec chip, just trying to send his baby out to grab the market earlier. You may return or ask for new model. That's not good.
need2shave 0 Posted February 28, 2014 Our distributor tested and also experienced the same problem. So I'm assuming its a codec issue across the board in the NVR line.
