Backfocusing with 1/4 ccd

Recommended Posts

I am having an issue with an installation, wondering if anyone has tried a solution that I was thinking of implementing.

Camera setup: Progressive scan RGB CMOS 1/4” ccd (axis p-1343)

Lens Currently Installed : Format Size : 1/3" , Focal Length: 7.5-50mm, Aperature Ratio: 1:1.4 , CS mount , DC Iris

I am unable to do a back focus on the camera as there isn't enough flange focal distance adjustment to back focus the lens. I am wondering if anyone has ever used a C-CS extension (5mm) and seen positive results in similar circumstances?

Are you using a NDF to force the iris open when you attempt to backfocus ?

Yes I have tried both a NDF and doing the process at night.

I found better results with the NDF.
