jingo 0 Posted March 8, 2014 Hi guys, I recently acquired a piece of cctv history, namely, a Dennard 460 pan tilt head. I would like to wire this up to two 240v momentary toggle switches (on-off-on) for testing purposes and these will be replaced later by relays (240vac rated) and controlled remotely, but I don`t have a clue how to wire it. The wiring at present is fed into a Dennard 506 housing (amphenol connector) where its linked to the camera and wiper/heater, then exits the housing and connects to the actual pan tilt head (amphenol connector). I have uploaded a number of photo`s which I hope will help, one of which shows the housing interior and a choc bloc which has two purple wires, one of which connects to nothing other than the head at the other end; why is this?, also, the red and brown, yellow and white wires are twisted together, is there a reason for this (up/down & left/right possibly)? These Dennard pan/tilt heads really are a good, solid bit of construction, and, besides cctv use, there must be other unrelated projects these parts can be used for - besides a door stop or anchor? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated and I would like to thank you all in advance.
