PeteCress 0 Posted March 11, 2014 Got two EdiMax 3030 cams where it looks as if the same capacitor (?) has failed - as evidenced by leakage. viz: http://tinyurl.com/ohvyjxx About a hundred bucks each. The Question: Is it worth spending a half day finding/procuring these capacitors and trying to solder them into the board without messing anything else up? Or does such a failure usually indicate something else is wrong too?
buellwinkle 0 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) I don't understand, you are asking if you should buy a $100 capacitor, and that must be a heck of a capacitor to fix a camera that cost $100? Is this the capacitor I would use to make my DeLorean a time machine? Edited March 12, 2014 by Guest
what-da 0 Posted March 12, 2014 You should just change the capacitor. Nice and cheap and easy job. And yes it is a common problem in the industry as many manufactures use cheap brands. Good luck
