bklynsoulja 0 Posted March 13, 2014 Thanks, can you explain 960H and Q960H to me? im guessing it a higher resolution? HD?
SunnyKim 2 Posted March 13, 2014 960H is a new sensor & new data size format driven by Sony CCD. 960H is 960 Pixels in Width(Horizontal direction) and 480 Lines(NTSC) or 576 Lines (PAL). It is bigger than conventional D1 , say 720X480(NTSC 30FPS) or 720X576 (PAL 25FPS). 960H carries more horizontal resolution (33%) than D1. Just as CIF (352 X240 or 352X288) is for a quarter of D1, Q960H becomes (480X240 or 480X288), a quarter of Full 960H. Four 960H video channels fit for HD 1920X1080 sized monitor. The 960H is newer therefore, more technically advanced in Sensor's noisy reduction and Image Signal Processor attached to its sensor. The Price becomes now as good as D1's. But to me, the video quality depends largely on the good Lens that you pay for.
RandomAccess 0 Posted May 31, 2016 Hi, just looking into WD1 or 960H as it is also known. What I can't quite get to grips with is if the resolution is 960H (or 960 pixels wide), why is the specification for the cameras only 928 x 576? Why is the a difference between 960H (960x576) and 926x576?

Why is the a difference between 960H (960x576) and 926x576? There should be no cameras claiming 960H (960 X576). 960H is the term for DVR box which samples and decodes the camera signal. 926 x 576 could be a TYPO. Hi. Bad name and bad spec ....... It much easier to just cross it off your buying list. No name cheap units are never good followed by bad remote apps and also no support. Companies like dahua hik aver all stil make analog but all are now hybrid ..... And not far of the same price . But will allow you to expand later without having to replace your recorder again
