spata 0 Posted March 19, 2014 I am wanting to place a camera to cover my front door and one to cover my driveway but i am not sure on where they should go... could anyone give me some input on optimal placement? I have included a google maps image of the front of my house:
Roman.CA 0 Posted April 12, 2014 It helps more to have schematic view of the house from the top. and what is the lens field of view and resolution? Perhaps this could work, considering you put car outside of garage. Blue camera should be at the wall of house between window and door if column not obstructing parking view a lot. myiicu 0 Posted April 16, 2014 The house is quite wide, so 3 cameras are recommended for the front. A camera with 2mm lens is recommend for the front door to capture facial id. Mount this camera to the right of the front door near the lamp so that the camera is not obscured by the opening of glass screen door or glare/reflection. A camera with 4mm lens is recommended for the left and the right side of the house. Mount these cameras under the soffits to give some protection from the elements. The center of the double garage doors and equal distance in from the left side look like good, balanced spots for camera placement.
