Armed101 0 Posted March 20, 2014 Ok so here is what I plan to do. I have a 15mb download and 15mb upload connection. I can possibly upgrade my connection if need be. I am looking at a 12 camera system. The cameras I have picked out are 650tvl. I have heard that I can set the cameras to respond only to motion and when I want to view a particular camera I can "wake" that camera up to conserve bandwidth, is this possible. I really don't care to record but I do want to view remotely. Is this possible with my current connection? What do yall think? Any help would be awesome! Thanks! RandyParlee 0 Posted March 20, 2014 Sure as long as you're planning to install the DVR onsite and not pump all of the video over the internet. Pretty much any modern system can do it.
superk 0 Posted March 23, 2014 First important thing is DVR software. Most of Chinese brand is a junk.because really hard to back up video copy and not able to see all cameras at the same time from home. TV line is not important you have to check actual pixel. 270k 470k,1300k,2100k..... I recommend sdi or ip cameras.
