Help Needed 2 home installation

Recommended Posts

Im Installing a 16ch cctv system in 2 homes across the road from each other the owner that owns both homes would like to link the 2 system together so he can view both systems on one screen on his laptop via wifi and there is currently a wireless bridge between the homes

what would be the easiest option with a tight budget in mind

2 x 16ch standalone dvrs on a network

have all ip cameras and have a nvr ( but the customer would like to stay cheap)

have a 32 ch dvr and somehow wirelessly stream one set of the 16 cameras across

have 2 16 ch standalone dvrs and have 2 16ch network video server

thanks

You don't need to elaborately link the systems. They can be separate systems but monitored jointly in one software application for both. For instance, Dahua would be PSS software. All 32 channels would be open within that software. Unless the homes are elaborate or need interior and exterior cameras, you could possibly be okay with 8 channel systems and save money there.

1. You can use 2 Standalone Dahua DVR's recording independently with SmartPSS for local monitoring of both systems (PC REQUIRED) (Cheapest Option)

2. You can use 2 Standalone Dahua DVR's recording independently with 1 NVR (NO RECORDING) for local monitoring on TV (NO PC REQUIRED)

3. You can use 2 Standalone Dahua DVR's NO RECORDING with 1 NVR for RECORDING and local monitoring on TV (NO PC REQUIRED)

4. You can use IP Cameras at both locations with 1 NVR for RECORDING and local monitoring on TV (NO PC REQUIRED) (BEST QUALITY OPTION)

5. You can always mix-n-match devices to accomplish your ideal install to satisfy quality and budgetary requirements.

6. Any manufacture DVR's/NVR's with CMS Program to view all cameras at once or IE for one system at a time on Laptop.
