Roman.CA 0 Posted April 11, 2014 I know there are a number of systems that require Active -X to run correctly in the browser. Since I use OSX and Linux, what complete system package is there that does not rely on Active-X for viewing? Most companies have apps created for each particular system e.g. mac/android etc, i used Q-See DVR with FireFox browser with no problem, not sure if it used flash plugin or some other install, but was NOT active-x for sure. Try reading this https://www.q-see.com/files/HowToFiles/C-Mac%20OS%20Remote%20Monitoring%20Setup.pdf P.S. I am in no way saying to go for Q-SEE as quality they offer is pretty low-average.
