HIKVISION DS-2CD2132-I Help

Hi all,

 

I purchased a HIKVISION DS-2CD2132-I and it appears to be directly from China. The Manual is only in Chinese and the software et cetera. I was able to get the camera running and setup, but I have a couple of questions. First off, here is some information from it.

 

Model DS-2CD2132-I

Firmware Version V5.1.0 build 131202

Encoding Version V5.0 build 131128

 

The display is in English and Chinese and I can't find a way to modify it. Is there a means to do that or is there a European Firmware I can flash the unit with to get English only on it?

Just turn off the day of week display, it's in the Advanced Configuration -> Image -> OSD -> uncheck Display Week. BTW, the date with day of week in English is so long that I turn it off anyway and I make the font smaller in OSD Size (32*32).

 

If you really want the day of week in English, that's doable too. Search for this from CBX, he figured out how to fix this.

Nope, turning it off works for me. Thank you very much! I looked and looked and just missed that setting I appreciate it!

 

Do you have any suggested settings for getting the most out of the camera? I am using Blue Iris as my NVR software, if you are familiar with it any suggestions on configuration for this camera I would appreciate it.
