6404V DVR - not doing as it's told.

Hi.

 

I wonder if anyone here can help with this problem I'm having.

 

I have a 4-channel DVR with a model number of 6404V. Unfortunately I can't work out who made it. It came without a HD so I put a 2TB model in.

 

The problem I have is when the disk is full the DVR ignores the "overwrite" option and gives me a disk error message - no matter what % I set for the disk full message to appear it will then give me the same disk error message.

 

Also I have it set to delete files older than 20 days. It removes them from the search options, but doesn't free the space up.

 

I've searched for an updated firmware but can't find one. Current firmware is V4.00.R10.04731001.10000. It's an embeded Linux DVR.

 

Has anyone seen this error before, and if so how did you resolved it?
