joecanhelp 0 Posted April 2, 2014 Hi, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My customer bought a kit about two years ago. 8ch DIGIguard from a place in Florida. At the time the support they gave was pretty helpful in setting up. The system was up and running for the past two years until about two weeks ago. It has since just continues to reboot and then hang on the splash screen stating, "H.264 - System initial...". Then after a few minutes of just sitting there it reboots again. My questions are: 1. Is anyone familiar with this and is it fixable? 2. If not, do I have to buy the exact same DVR as the original? 3. How can I prevent this from happening again? Just so you're aware I'm not a CCTV expert, but I am a pretty knowledgeable IT Support guy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. JCH Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
rebel998 1 Posted April 20, 2014 Disconnect everything from it and reboot. If the problem persist your hardware (DVR) must be faulty. I don't think it's worthwile repairing. Replace with any brand H264 DVR again. Label all cables before disconnecting and you'll have to setup you TCP/IP as well as recording schedule etc again.
