richardtheboffin 0 Posted April 7, 2014 I am struggling getting a big 60x lens on a panasonic wv CL934 box camera back focused properly. The camera has an auto back focus which doesn't quite work. My limited understanding with box cameras and lenses is that I should set the zoom to wide and the focus to far and then let the camera do it's auto backfocus. Once set correctly, the image should stay in focus through the whole zoom range? Any pointers?
myiicu 0 Posted April 14, 2014 That big lens needs a standard 5mm cs to c mount adapter. The 5mm adapter increases the space from 12.5mm to 17.5mm between lens and the image sensor.
myiicu 0 Posted April 14, 2014 Auto back focus accounts for the very small lens focus shift that occurs when using a camera in day and then switching to night as available light fades. Cameras without auto back focus requires setup in low light or welding filter with iris almost fully open. Auto back focus should not be confused with Auto focus...
