CCTV DVR Accept only 2tb How to get 3tb to work?

I bought a 3tb hd and I didn't know my dvr only accepts 2tb. It recognize that there is 3tb disk attached but 0 free space. I formatted it and still the same thing.

 

Any suggestion?

If your DVR can only handle 2TB, you will need to use a 2TB hard drive. There might also be an update to change it to recognize 3TB hard drives if the manufacturer has one.

If there is no firmware update available, return the 3TB hard drive and put a 2TB back in there.
