holyghost 0 Posted April 16, 2014 Is it ok to record to NAS instead of NVR? I run the software on a pc for viewing but recording path I set to NAS. Can it work? Any major disadvantages?
ssnapier 0 Posted April 16, 2014 I do it all the time, as long as the software understands where to put the video and where to grab it from for playback, there should be no issues.
holyghost 0 Posted April 17, 2014 is it recommended to run RAID on the NAS so that I can always have a backup recording?

Would you use recording to NAS in big Enterprise solution ? Yes, I have two clients right now with appx. 200 cameras each (3MP) and the entire thing is being stored for 90 days. That is several hundred TB of storage, all on NAS.
