IronZ 0 Posted April 16, 2014 Hello all, I have Hikvision's DS7204-HFHI-ST DVR installed and working. Everything is fine except for one major issue, it breaks every video around the 1GB mark. In other words, if a recording is over a gig in size, it stops at 1gb and continues recording in a new file. This means that I have a TON of files for any long recordings. This is a problem as it is in a law enforcement facility and unbroken/fluid video is imperative. Hikvision tells me that there is nothing I can do, it's just how the DVR works. They also informed me that they don't market HD-SDI DVRs here in the states and that is why they don't recommend buying form on-line companies. Little did I know.... Any ideas on what I can do here? Is there software that can record from the DVR in real-time 1080p resolution with no loss in video/audio quality? Are there any recommended HD-SDI DVRs that will not break the recordings up? Thanks a lot! Z
lewis770 0 Posted April 17, 2014 I dong understand way its a problem? As long you got the time stamp on the video.. are you looking for a 100 giga byte file?
steuk 0 Posted April 17, 2014 Can't you record small videos ? For example I record 24hours per day, with video time set at 10min. So I have 144 videos per day, each one less than 200MB.
