ebay DVR HDMI output wont work

Hi all,

 

I bought this DVR off ebay a month ago, i know its a no name brand but just wondering if anybody has a similar type of DVR? The question i have is about the HDMI output. I have applied the latest firmware (attached picture) from the supplier which did not change a thing. If anybody wants the file i can send it on. Build date is

 

The HDMI port only works on the boot up logo and then drops out once the DVR is running. The resolution the TV detects is 1024x768. I have changed the DVR resolution to all the different resolutions still no output after boot up. I have also tried a smaller TV and same result.
