BNC Crimp Tool

Recommended Posts

Looking at buying a new set of crimps, only use 3 piece BNC's at the moment so need a solid set of crimps, last 2 non branded sets have lasted a year tops, would like a set that does mini RG59 although i rarely use it, last set i bought (System Q) were meant to do Mini RG59 but don't

Anyway looking at the CK crimps but can't find out if they will do mini RG59 (I have 100m drum that needs using up) also considering Knipex, recently bought the Knipex RJ45 crimps as my old Rolson (Maplin....Boo Hiss) ones were poor and can say they are great, good crimp everytime.

Paladin's 1600 and 8000 series crimp tools are nice.

1600 series - 75,000 crimp cycles

8000 series - 50,000 crimp cycles

Many die sets for RG58, RG59, RG174, mini-59, fibre optics, twisted pair, etc.

The Paladin 8000 is my primary 3 piece BNC crimping tool.

I use die #2034, 2045, 2653 for coaxial cable.

For modular RJ45 connectors, I use AMP/Tyco modular plug hand tool and Sargent/Rostra 7500 series.

For BNC and F compression connectors, I use Paladin 1555 SealTite Pro crimper.

Cheers for the info, seem pretty expensive in the UK but dare say they are worth it, a company sells them near to me so going to have a look over and decide.

Anyone used the Knipex or CK crimps? and do they do mini BNC's?

we use the cmp bubble system and have found it to be better than the crimp style we do some crimps on existing stuff but most of the time we have found the cmp stuff to work well
