Color dome camera only shows black and white image?

I have two vandalproof outdoor IR dome camera's, Specs are color 1/3" Sony 700TVL Effio-E CCD, Both these camera's only show Black and White picture, The IR night vision is black and white but it doesn't switch to color during the day? I've tried everything with the OSD menu settings but nothing pertains to this issue?, What am I doing wrong?, Any help would be appreciated.

have you made sure youve setup the camera menu so its on auto not just black and white setting.

Yes, It is set to auto, Still No color?

Try it on a place with more light; or take a flashlight, and point it to the camera to see if it changes to color mode.

It's under an eave to protect it from the weather and direct sunlight which i assume isn't a good thing?, This camera is suppose to be color indoors as well, I don't think it's from lack of light.

Is there a setting for NTSC/PAL or other colour system? Some monitors will accept the 'wrong' system but not read the colour information.

No, Nothing on the menu that pertains to that?, I thought maybe my DVR settings could be the culprit but nothing on there either?, I've tried every combination of everything on the camera and DVR menu's and all I can get is a Black and white image?, And yes, My monitors are color!

Had the same problem till I figured out the DVR was set to PAL and my cameras were NTSC.

You guy's nailed it!, The DVR was set to PAL, I had to take off the cover and find the jumper J10 on the circuit board and switch it to NTSC, I have color and all is well!, Thank U much!
