chynatown 0 Posted May 3, 2014 Hello, This is my first post on this board, and I was wondering if I could ask for some help? Here are a list of items that I'm currently using; Honeywell HRG8 DVR Linksys E4200v2 Router Iphone 5s with the HRG app My issue is, I've port forwarded my router so I can view my camera's on my iPhone, but when I leave my house and try to view it on my phone it doesn't work. When I open the app, I get a warning "Failed to login device; DVR network connect failed'. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Regards, Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

ssnapier 0 Posted May 3, 2014 That is your internal IP address, you need your public IP address to access it from outside of your home network. Here is a very crude diagram that I came up with to show folks how this works, bear in mind that the port number I just was random, yours will be whatever you chose.
