tomartomau 0 Posted May 27, 2014 Hi everyone, new to the forum and have read some threads related to the purchase and design of different setups. I would like to utilise the Synology NAS 214 Play which transcodes on the fly and hopefully has enough grunt to effectively benefit from the surveillance station installed on the device. To be honest I would be happy with 720p camera(s) connected through the wired network. I have seen POE and I am interested but do not know the benefits of such an option.
