With the proper hardware/software setup and the proper windows settings (services, processes, software etc.) they can be the most reliable, stable DVR's. Its all a misconceived perception because people dont know what they're doing. Agreed. Try to avoid having 1 PC doing DVR and desktop duty, it works but it's not ideal.
