myiicu 0 Posted June 16, 2014 When exporting video using Avigilon VMS ACC, native files are small when compared to AVI files. Sample Video: 13 minute, 48 second 1280 x 960 Quality=High Full frame rate 30fps Native (.AVE) = 177MB AVI (VC-1 Window Media Video encoder) = 594MB AVI (no encoder) = 42.6GB When submitting police evidence, I supply both Avigilon native file with ACC Player (zoom is nice) and AVI file (VC-1 Window Media Video encoder) When doing long time-lapse videos, I export to AVI file (VC-1 Window Media Video encoder) and stitch the AVI's with QuickTime Pro. MaxIcon 0 Posted June 16, 2014 AVI and MP4 are containers, not a compression formats. They'll be big or small, depending on what kind of video they contain.
