HIKVision Software

I have installed two HIKVision network cameras. I configured them to my sub-net and can access the cameras from my browser. The picture is just fine. When I try their Software iVMS-4200, the software "sees" the camera but I can not see any images. Any thoughts?

firewall possibly. They firewall will usually allow port 80 (standard webpage port) the software will usually connect on a different port, and you will need to either allow or port forward that port in your router settings.

Just had a quick look for that software you mention and it may be ports 8000 & 554 that need opening or forwarding. All just a probably because I have never used that kit.
