truenorth 0 Posted June 16, 2014 Hello, I have a Panasonic WV-CS854A PTZ camera with a RS485 interface, can I use this as a standalone (camera and controller, No DVR) video out to a monitor? Or does this camera require a dvr interface? I found a Pelco-P 3D controller fairly cheap on the Internet ($99.00) with RS485 connections. I checked with a Panasonic Tech and was told it would accept Pelco-P Protocol. I'm trying to stay cheap since this is a home/hobby project. I do not need to record just monitor the video. Or is there a cheaper way using serial (USB to RS485 interface) on my computer with software? Before I purchase anything I would appreciate your input, Thanks in advance!
