John123 0 Posted June 21, 2014 Hi guys, I just upgraded my DVR system and was going try test some 1080p Cameras later. New computer build with Windows 8 I placed my GeoVision Card in and installed the wrong DVR software and set the password. I installed the NVR one and not the Geo 650/800 S 3.53 back of the card says 800v3 and now it keep telling me that my ProKey is being used by another application. Tryed unstalling all the Geo software but im about to do full windows 8 reinstall, and tips for me before i do this? I can put it back on my Dell core 2 duel =/ for now... John123 0 Posted June 22, 2014 Looks like I'll just format the windows 8, it work fine on my 10 year old dell, which i put back on, and no one here has a fix for me so, I'll just reinstall OS on the new computer and retry installing the Geo on it.
duder 0 Posted August 6, 2014 I hope I'm not too late. You either installed the wrong version of geovision or you didn't install the drivers for the card. I believe you have a gv 800. So when you install geovision you need to select that as the version you want to install. However if you have all Ip cams you don't need an gv card. you can just install the NVR version since no dongle is needed for ip cams. Well at least geovision ip cams don't need a dongle.
