I just purchased a new house (built oct 2013). The builder installed a security system consisting of an AVC794 DVR system and 4 cameras.

 

When we moved in a couple of weeks ago, he demoed Eagle Eyes to see the cameras through my ipad.

 

Yesterday, I got a connection refused message.

while checking, i discovered that I cannot ping the DVR anymore (192.168.1.10) on my local network

It still has that address... my router shows it in use and changing the ip address if the DVR in the menu to something else changes the ip addres usage in the router table.

However, no matter what I change it to, I cannot ping it.

 

Every other device on my network works as expected. I can ping them, etc.

 

Just the AVC794 cannot be pinged or seen through Eagle Eyes.

 

ideas?
