dksellou 0 Posted June 23, 2014 Hello, I don;t know a lot about surveillance cameras. I had 4 cameras installed in my house last August, and since then one of the camera's signal was coming on and off showing the message "Video loss". Now the camera is permanently showing "video loss" and I don't know how to fix it. It may be the camera or the cable, right? the other 3 cameras work great. I went to the DVR box yesterday to unplug the power button and check if there is a problem with the power but it didn't bring the camera signal back. I know I am not providing a lot of information about my surveillance system but I will try to find out if you want. My question is mostly general. What can cause this? Thanks for your time! mobileman 0 Posted June 23, 2014 sounds like it could be the cable, quick way to check would be swap one of the working cameras with faulty one, if faulty camera works on the other cameras cable then you need to replace the cable if it doesnt work then try working camera on faulty cable and rule out cable and replace camera

dksellou 0 Posted June 23, 2014 Thanks for your responses. Any idea how to fix it myself? They ask for a $100 to come and check it... this particular camera is still under warranty
