protechonline 0 Posted June 26, 2014 Hi, I need a security camera that has the following features, do you have anything that meets these requirements? - Can work and record day and night but cannot be seen and does not have the tell tale red LED's that give away the fact it is a camera? - For outdoor use - Can be connected to a a n existing CCTV system (The connections are BNC). I am sort of thinking along the lines of some type of covert pinhole or hidden camera (maybe disguised as a PIR as I have seen these). But the main issue is that it can record hi quality at night and not be seen (no visible PIR LED etc). Can you help or do you have any suggestions? jazzar 0 Posted June 26, 2014 see:- http://www.cctv-information.co.uk/i/Understanding_Infra_Red_Lamps 950nm invisible to human eye. you could light the area up with one or two of these and fit a camera that is sensitive enough - don't know how covert it would be, the ir does not need to be right next to the camera, as long as the camera is pointing to the invisible "ir lit area" if that makes sense.
