Creating Domain and hosting site in DVR

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I want to setup a domain for my small business for example.. http://www.smallindustry.com

Currently we have a DVR which is running 24/7 and we have 4 cameras. We are monitoring cameras through netviewer as well as through browser using IP

so my question is using IP address through browser we can monitor the cameras. is it possible if i install IIS (internet information service) on the same system and i can create a new site publish??

http://198.6.12.88 --> if you type this in address bar it will display the cameras views

http://198.6.12.88/site/index.html --> i want my site should be displayed here. is it possible? or any other alternate methods are there to achieve this one? please guide me

Dear Navaneeth,

when you registering domain www.xyz.com (what ever domain name) they will ask you where to point, so just give your existing Public IP address to them, then it will be browse your camera site.

1. Ask your local domain register for domain registration or any online register available, e.g.

http://www.godaddy.com

2. Give them your public IP where you are now hosting your IP cam.

3. They will do all that job, just sit back and see.

Thanks

RRobertsion

Dear Navneet,

if your existing public ip e.g. 198.10.1.22 (what ever ip) is available all times then you can point your new domain to this IP. no need new hosting.

Thanks

RR
