dexterash 0 Posted July 3, 2014 Hello Most of you, experienced ones, should know, by now, the outage and the problems that have risen from the takeover of NO-IP's DDNS servers by Microsoft. What are your conclusions? What and what type of impact had on you?
shockwave199 0 Posted July 3, 2014 Original host names seem to be working again. I'm guessing dyndns was in on it somehow. How much money do they lose to noip since they went to paid? I wouldn't be surprised if they were in on it somehow.
dexterash 0 Posted July 3, 2014 Somehow. DDNS is a service (much like HTTP/FTP). DynDNS was one of the first ones to offer this. They have nothing to do with the takedown. No-Ip is a DDNS/DynDNS-alike service. I wonder(or worry about). Does anyone around really know what a DNS attack can do?
